Michelle Denny Recruitment is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Third-Party Claims Adjuster to join the dynamic team at Marble Arch Underwriting. Based in Diss, South Norfolk, this is a permanent role with a salary range of £28,000 - £35,000pa. This position is available on a hybrid basis and is literally a five minute walk from Diss train station - and there's plenty of free parking too.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in this fast-growing business by leveraging your credit hire experience and technical knowledge to handle motor claims up to £50,000. You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio and will also have the opportunity to support your team members, acting as a central reference point and assisting the Team Leader in the distribution of work.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Handling all aspects of third-party motor claims, up to a value of £50,000.
  • The ability to handle and negotiate detailed liability scenarios, managing your own portfolio of litigated claims.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues,
  • Act as a technical referral point across the team.
  • Support the team by handling day-to-day issues and ensure continuity of service.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders, Technical Claims Managers and Claims Director to ensure a seamless and first class service delivery.
  • Liaising with internal and external partners across all levels.
  • Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level as appropriate
  • Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves.
  • Set clear expectations and next steps to the client.
  • Respond to all written and phone enquiries.
  • Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure.
  • Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly, efficient service.

Role requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in handling motor claims up to £50,000
  • Credit hire experience is essential
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to support colleagues
  • Proven ability to manage workload distribution and provide oversight
  • Desire to contribute to the growth and success of the business

Salary package:

  • Up to £35,000pa depending on the level of your experience
