Job Title: Fabricator (Non-Welding)

Reports To: Workshop Manager / Team Leader

Job Purpose:

To carry out the preparation, cutting, forming, and assembly of metal parts using fabrication machinery and tools, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow fabrication drawings and work orders
  • Operate machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, saws, and pillar drills
  • Cut and form aluminium and steel components to specification
  • Carry out mechanical assembly using hand tools (riveting, bolting, fitting)
  • Perform quality checks and ensure all components meet production standards
  • Move and organise materials safely within the workshop
  • Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow company health & safety practices
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fabrication or metalworking environment
  • Confident with manual and powered fabrication equipment (excluding welding)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required

Desirable (Bonus):

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance licence or proven experience operating forklifts
  • Familiarity with handling aluminium components
  • Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting
