ORB Recruitment have multiple, Permanent positions available for experienced Platers to join our client - an industry leading fabricator of Rail and Road Infrastructure projects.

The Role

• Working within the Rail and Construction industry.
• Working on large, heavy, structural projects, including Staircases, Bridges and more.
• Fabricating heavy steel work to a very high standard.
• Working from engineering drawings to very tight tolerances.
• Producing bespoke products for the Heavy Steel industry.

Essential Experience

• Must be confident in Plating and/or Fabrication, weld tests will be part of the interview process.
• Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications.
• Confident in MIG welding.
• Experience operating Fabrication machinery.
• Must have worked within the heavy steel industry.
• Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch.

Working Hours/Shifts

Days, Afters and Nights available

• Days - 6am to 2pm
• Afters - 2pm to 10pm
• Nights - 10pm to 6am

Overtime available

• Over 40 hours - Time and a half
• Saturdays - Time and a half
• Sundays - Double time (if worked Saturday, if not Time and a half)

Pay/Salary

• Days - £16.19 per hour or £31,570.50 per year
• Afters - £17.80 per hour or £34,710.00 per year

***First 3 month while working probationary period will be paid at base rate***
