Production Planner
Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for an experienced Interim Production Planner to play a pivotal role in coordinating and enhancing production operations to meet demand and uphold quality standards. Able to start as soon as possible, you'll be instrumental in ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing and assembly of goods to meet customer timelines.

Your responsibilities will include crafting and executing production plans, project plans, and comprehensive reports through effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Our client requires an experienced Production Planner to drop in with very little handover or training needed. Therefore, please apply if you believe you have a level of experience to work self-sufficiently (with support from the surrounding team) and be able to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily projects, including renewals and maintenance, ensuring smooth workflow across various processes and products.
  • Allocate materials, equipment, and manpower effectively to meet production requirements.
  • Monitor order progress closely to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Strategically plan and prioritise operations to optimise performance and minimise delays.
  • Develop quality plans and schedules aligned with project scheduling principles.
  • Monitor and adapt plans as necessary, utilising recovery schedules and contingency plans to meet objectives.
  • Facilitate effective information sharing among project stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and collection from timesheets and production documents into the ERP system.
  • Maintain organised documentation for internal and external audits.


Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Proven previous experience as a production planner in a manufacturing setting, with responsibility for pulling the master schedule together for multiple industrial machines and Production heads
  • Familiarity with production ERP/MRP systems as well as strong Excel capability
  • Strong data entry skills coupled with exceptional planning, organisational, and administrative abilities.
  • Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes
  • Rail / automotive / aerospace / industrial machinery sector experience is highly desirable

  • 12pm finish on Fridays!
