The Opportunity:
Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with a renowned manufacturer serving the rail and rolling stock industry, providing parts and products into a safety critical industry.
The position is supplier focussed and requires attention to detail, an ability to communicate problems with suppliers to achieve a “Win Win” outcome and a dynamic approach to solving engineering problems.
The position is likely to suit someone coming off the tools in a safety critical environment or someone who is already in a technical support position.
Location:
Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Offer technical engineering support, advice and expertise to design and procurement teams.
- Assistant in the management of product-based warranty issues.
- Attend regular supplier facing and technical meetings.
- Assistant in the design and development of brand new products.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with key stakeholders on an internal and external basis.
Essentials:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background
- Previous experience of offering technical engineering support.
- UK Driving Licence
- Strong Interpersonal skills – able to communicate with key internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions.
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience within the rail industry.
