Procurement Manager

A global player and manufacturer in the fasteners industry is currently looking for a commercial and progressive Procurement Manager, ideally with experience in the automotive industry to spearhead, modernise and invigorate the purchasing function of an established growing business.   BASIC SALARY: £70,000 - £90,000 depending on experience   BENEFITS:· Company car / Car allowance · Excellent Company Pension scheme · Private Medical insurance (inc family) · 4 x DIS · 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays   LOCATION: Midlands (relocation package considered)   COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Doncaster, Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Goole, Hull, Gainsborough, Grimsby, Market Rasen, Caistor, Brigg   JOB DESCRIPTION : Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Buying Manager, Category Manager - manufacturer, fasteners, automotive   The primary focus of this Procurement Manager role is to implement and manage a new procurement strategy for the UK business.   Key elements of the role will be to: · Develop and oversee 4 existing purchasing staff across this global business · Manage all direct and indirect procurement for the business · Oversee a total UK spend of circa £75-£150 million · Review and implement new SLAs for the business and is suppliers and KPI's for the staff   · Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships (100-150) and where needed, increase/rationalise supplier portfolio   This is a genuine opportunity to have input into changing a procurement platform in a large and established business and will require a candidate who is strong willed and confident in their approach with experience in similar change and growth.   REQUIREMENTS : Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Buying Manager, Category Manager - manufacturer, fasteners, automotive   Ideally, you will be a qualified procurement specialist holding either CIPs / MCIPs or the equivalent and have some direct working experience in the automotive industry.
