Key Responsibilities: 

  • Acting as a cooperative parent 

  • Active involvement in all aspects of the care of children and young people 

  • Participating in reviews and case conferences when needed 

  • Assisting children and young people through periods of illness, emotional or behavioral difficulties 

  • Helping to achieve the smooth running of all aspects of the home and participating in domestic/household activities 

  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with the neighborhood and community, parents, teachers, social workers, other agencies, and professional colleagues 

  • Adhering to health and safety procedures 

  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in respect of residents, families, and colleagues 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience (paid or voluntary) with children and young people of at least 1 year 

  • Ability to work flexibly and beyond normal hours, if required, at times of crisis
