My client in South Yorkshire are looking for an AMHP to join their out of hours service.

Salary: £44,401-£48,356 per annum

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Tickhill Road Hospital

About the Out of Hours AMHP Service:The Out of Hours Service is a team of qualified and experienced social workers who can handle urgent situations outside of regular office hours. This includes nights, weekends and bank holidays, conducting emergency assessments under the Mental Health Act. We find it rewarding to be able to help and re-assure vulnerable people out of hours and to provide an effective service for those situations that cannot safely wait until the next working day, and we aim to provide stability to crisis situations where required.

The post holder will be expected to work a range of shifts, covering out of hours between 2pm-8am, including some weekends and on-call shifts in line with service demand, on a rota pattern.

Requirements for this role:- You have a Social Work Degree or equivalent and are registered as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.- You are an Approved Mental Health Professional under the 1983 Mental Health Act (as amended).- You have experience and knowledge of work with vulnerable people.- You can work under pressure and organise your practice workload effectively.- You can communicate effectively in writing and orally in a style appropriate to the context.- You can empower service users and their carers to enable their full participation in work undertaken.- You have knowledge of current Community Care practice and multi-agency systems of Assessment and Care Management for Older People and vulnerable adults.- You have knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and recent research findings across all client specialisms.- You are committed to anti-oppressive behaviour, practice and management.- You are willing and able to work in an open manner as part of a team, with a commitment to sharing and working alongside staff in your own and other organisations, while recognising your own management responsibilities.- You are flexible and adaptable in your work and duties.
