This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of financial activities and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role include:
  • Provide comprehensive support across the finance team, encompassing various areas such as tax matters (including corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, and consideration of overseas tax triggers).
  • Handle carbon footprint reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and hedge foreign currency exposures to mitigate risks and optimise financial performance.
  • Conduct financial assessment and analysis of suppliers to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
  • Manage the processing of expenses and journals accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with various audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate the impacts of changes in Accounting Standards on the business and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Assess current tools and processes for development to enhance the efficiency of the finance function.
The successful Financial Accountant will require:
  • Qualified /part-qualified /studying /QBE.
  • Good basic understanding of tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
