Graduate Civil Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Dorset

Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday (Hybrid working is available - approx. 2-3 days WFH)

Salary: 27,000-33,000 per annum

We are currently partnering with a leading company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of equipment for solar farms. This exceptional graduate opportunity will involve conducting structural calculations and site surveys to assess ground quality and conditions. Structural calculations will be required for steel and aluminium structures. Additionally, you will have a pivotal role in driving research and development initiatives within the organisation.

Example of Responsibilities as the Graduate Civil Engineer

  • Assist with the design and development of engineering projects.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform calculations and analysis related to structural design, geotechnics, and materials testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to problem solve and find innovative solutions.

Experience/ Skills Required

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.
  • Must have valid right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Although hybrid working is available you must be able to commute to Dorset.
  • Driving licence is essential (Company vehicle is provided for site visits)
  • Flexibility to travel to sites across the UK (all expenses covered)
