Our client, a Local Authority based in Dorset, are currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in Building Surveying to contribute to a customer-focused, high-quality response repairs and voids maintenance service.
As the Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing support to minimise response repair time, accurately order work without pre-inspections, and control responsive repair and voids expenditure. You will also play a key role in maintaining statutory compliance, ensuring works conform to regulations and specifications while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a customer-focused response repairs and voids maintenance service, engaging with tenants, leaseholders, and stakeholders.
- Support the objective of minimizing response repair time and accurately ordering work without pre-inspections.
- Control responsive repair and voids expenditure while maximizing resources for improvement programs.
- Maintain scrutiny on works in progress to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and specifications.
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in specifying and inspecting complex responsive repairs.
- Proficient in working with and managing contractors.
- Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
