- Supporting the Board of Directors whilst overseeing financial budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Proactively manage the Company Finances, controlling the day-to-day operation of Head Office, whilst taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of operational finance, including:
- Timely production of monthly finance statements
- Statutory statements and Audit preparation
- VAT returns and Payroll
- Act as Company Secretary for the business.
- Management of the company’s portfolio of property, leases, negotiations, disputes, and associated legal aspects (with support from the administration team and property consultants).
- Quarterly Covenant reporting to the bank in accordance with facilities agreement.
- Management of the HR function (with the support of an external HR Consultant).
- Management of the administration and front of house tasks, including negotiation of utilities and any insurance contracts.
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of the business.
- Leadership of the IT Manager; including procurement of IT equipment, telecoms, contracts, continual workflow and system improvements.
- Encouraging a continuous improvement ethic within the team, working with the wider business to identify and implement change.
- Professional Chartered/Certified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) Accountant.
- Independent, pragmatic character willing to provide challenge to the Board and management team.
- Highly analytical, critical thinker, high attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Dependable team player and a good communicator.
- Legal and commercial knowledge would be highly valuable.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety laws and regulations are desirable but not essential.
