Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: 49,000 + Shift allowance
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's Manufacturing Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
A key aspect of this role is to develop and implement long-term reliable solutions through thorough root cause analysis. This position plays a crucial role in supporting upgrade and improvement projects to optimise equipment utilisation and efficiency, contributing to the company's growth.
Day to Day of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:
- Assist in creating a high-performing team with the goal of achieving zero breakdowns and eliminating machine setup issues.
- Perform planned maintenance tasks autonomously to maximise machinery uptime and minimise disruption to production.
- Provide proactive support for reactive maintenance tasks, working closely with the Engineering Manager to minimise production downtime.
- Work on electrical installations up to 400V, process safety circuits, and electrical control circuits (PLC & VSD), adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to create and review risk assessments, SOPs, OPLs, and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
- Conduct proactive and effective fault diagnosis using mechanical and electrical root cause analysis to identify problems and determine solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, both electrical and mechanical.
- Experience with electrical installations and control circuits.
- Ability to perform fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
