Seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Manager to join a dedicated Accounting & Finance team. The successful candidate will have a profound understanding of payroll systems and an ability to lead a team efficiently.

Description

  • Oversee daily payroll department operations
  • Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll
  • Supervise payroll team
  • Ensure compliance with current government regulations
  • Establish and maintain employee records
  • Handle payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Support the planning, prioritising, and allocation of all relevant payroll work within your own and client's team.

  • Conduct payroll processing during peak times and delegate client work during periods of normal demand.
  • Review all payroll processing work of the team.
  • Supervise Seniors, Semi-Seniors and Assistants who are involved in processing of payroll.
  • Develop and build relationships internally for cross referral opportunities and to become a valued team member across the firm.

Profile

A successful Assistant Payroll Manager should have:

  • CIPP Qualified / Studier - Preferred
  • knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software
