Join this 'Outstanding' primary school in Tower Hamlets as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a highly energetic, resilient and enthusiastic individual to support our students with ASD and SEMH / behavioural needs.

About the Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role:

As Teaching Assistant in this outstanding School in Tower Hamlets, you need to shift between both ASD and SEMH support.

In the mornings, your responsibilities will include providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 boy with ASD within the Key Stage One provision class.

In the afternoons, you will work collaboratively as part of the team in the Key Stage One provision class, supporting students with SEMH needs.

This role requires adaptability and energy to effectively support students with both ASD and SEMH requirements.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

· Provide 1:1 support to a student with ASD in a Key Stage One provision class.

· Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities to meet the individual needs of students.

· Support the social and emotional development of students with SEMH needs.

· Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

· Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the relevant stakeholders.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant Requirements:

· Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASD and SEMH.

· Strong understanding of strategies to support children with ASD and SEMH needs.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and needs.

· Relevant qualifications or training in special needs education (desired but not essential).
