Design Engineer Full-Time PermanentSalary - Circa £35,000 DOE Location - In office, Driffield We're excited to be supporting a long-standing family-owned engineering company, who have over four decades of expertise in the design and manufacture of material handling & processing equipment; servicing clients across Food, Feed, Recycling and Biomass industries across the UK.Due to a huge demand in their services, they're now looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join their expanding design team of professionals. Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Produce detailed drawings and plans from site survey information and client specifications
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production
  • Supporting the Senior Designers & Project Engineers across multiple projects
  • Create engineering solutions to suit project requirements and deadlines

Experiences required

  • Competent modelling in SolidWorks for assemblies, advanced part modelling, weldments, and sheet metal
  • Mechanical Engineering background or similar
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Experience of working with bulk materials and handling/process equipment is advantageous
  • Knowledge and familiarity of survey equipment. E.g. 3D Scanning and interpretation of cloud data is advantageous
