Are you a Senior Estimator looking for a new role?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator specialising in Structural Steelwork to join our clients team. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of structural steel projects, includingsteel fabrication, erection, and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for structural steel projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Analyse project requirements, identify potential risks, and develop appropriate strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
- Conduct thorough material take-offs and pricing analysis to determine project costs.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations as required.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of sales negotiation, in a more senior role preferred.
- Experience with pricing structural steelwork, such as RSJ's.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
