Job Description: As a qualified teaching assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and enriching the educational experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of educational materials and resources.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum.
  • Promoting positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure the holistic development of all students.
  • Participating in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in teaching assistance or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An understanding of child safeguarding policies and procedures.
