£48,990 (£39,261 + 33% shift allowance) + Training + Progression + On site Parking + Company Pension + Holiday (increases with service) + Overtime (Paid at higher rates)

LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success.

The role:

You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery.

  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  • Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  • Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  • Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
  • Understanding of Risk assessment/POWRA for maintenance jobs
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and plant
  • Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
  • Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
  • Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Controller role
  • Undertakes maintenance according to the weekly plan and at weekends when required (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
  • Maintains engineering workshop and booking in/out of parts with Maintenance Manager
  • Coordinate suppliers, to include raising quotations for parts and services
  • Ensures availability of parts / critical spares working with Maintenance Manager
  • Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community.

The Person:

  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
  • IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi.
  • Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.

Role: Permanent

Salary: £39,261 + 33% shift allowance  

£ 18.89ph + 33% shift allowance (£25.12ph) Overtime is paid at basic hourly rate plus a half

Shifts: 2 shift pattern

Mon-Fri 6am-2pm & Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm
