We are looking for a Mechanical Services Manager in the NW / NE to join a long-established firm of electrical and mechanical contractors based near Manchester, offering a full range of electrical and mechanical services with contracts typically including offices, new and refurbishment work in hospitals, healthcare environments, new commercial and industrial buildings, hotels, pharmaceutical, historical, retail outlets and shopping centres.

The role comes with an attractive remuneration package, negotiable circa £55k - £70k pa depending on experience, along with a very attractive employee bonus scheme up to 20% of annual salary. Other benefits include Pension, Health Insurance, Mobile Phone, Laptop, Free onsite parking, Training and 25 days holiday pa. plus bank holidays, and a Company Car may be available in due course.

Working 45 hours a week, Mon – Friday with flexible start & finish times and reporting to the Managing Director, day to day duties will include:

* Integrate with the team and support current projects, commercially & operationally lead Mechanical division

* Work in partnership with mechanical pre-construction manager and existing project management team

* Accountability of the successful performance on Mechanical & Plumbing installations across existing longstanding client relationships in the retail, education, council & commercial sectors

* Financial control of Projects managed

* Manage, guide and direct Mechanical operatives & Subcontractors on projects by project basis

* Develop sub-contractor national supply chain network

Essentials:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience gained in Mechanical Project / Contract Management

* Manage Mechanical project values between 30k – 400k

Nice to have but not essential:

* 2+ years’ Leadership experience

* Mechanical estimating experience

Minimum academic / professional qualifications required:

* City & guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 and AM2 or NVQ level 3, or

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or EAL equivalent, or

* City & guilds 2396 Design, Erection & Verification or EAL Equivalent (preferred)
