We are currently seeking a skilled Housing Capital Programme Contract Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Excellence: Oversee the execution of Housing Capital Programme contracts to achieve Council objectives while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Projects include retrofitting, compliance upgrades, and enhancing living conditions for residents.

  • Operational Efficiency: Implement and monitor performance targets for assigned Capital Programmes, managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with tenants, residents, and elected officials, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.

  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets effectively, overseeing procurement activities to ensure cost-effective delivery of required works within budgetary constraints.

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to business planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery standards.

  • Health and Safety: Prioritize the health and safety of residents and workers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices throughout project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications: Possess a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in the construction sector. Additional certifications and memberships in professional bodies are desirable.

  • Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, building contracts, health and safety regulations, and project management methodologies.

Working Conditions and Arrangements:

  • Working Conditions: Respond to emergencies and attend meetings with stakeholders as required, occasionally outside normal office hours.
