Job Title: Head of Quality & CurriculumLocation: Remote with National Travel in England and requirements for weekly meetings at their offices in YorkshireCompany: National Training Provider with a “Good” rated Ofsted InspectionSalary: Up to £55,000Benefits:• 25 days + bank holidays, rising to 30• All travel expenses paid from home at 45 pence per mile• Bonuses for travel and overnight stays up to £60 per day where applicable• Immediate start availableAbout the Company: This training provider specialises in delivering training courses in Construction and Security to employed and unemployed learners aged 19+. Their training offerings include short courses, Bootcamps, and NVQs.Role Overview: This position has been created due to contract growth. The Head of Quality & Curriculum will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of curriculum, quality improvement, and quality assurance processes and procedures for all Training contracts. This role will ensure high-quality delivery in line with all Training’s mission, vision, and values.Purpose of Job: To lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of curriculum, quality improvement, and quality assurance processes and procedures for all Training contract delivery. To monitor and report upon the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment, making recommendations for continuous development to ensure high-quality delivery.Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Head of Quality and Curriculum:• Develop and manage the internal quality strategy.• Implement a robust quality assurance framework, ensuring all delivery meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.• Oversee the design and development of adult education budget curricula, ensuring relevance and alignment with industry best practices and local needs.• Ensure the curriculum meets the “3 I’s” (Intent, Implementation, and Impact) in line with the current Education Inspection Framework.• Plan and implement a program of monitoring through audits, observations, and sampling the “3 I’s.”• Lead the process for the observation of teaching, learning, and assessment (OTLA), maintaining high standards.• Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor program quality and compliance.• Continuously improve the teaching and learning experience, identifying innovative approaches and best practices.• Use data and learner feedback to analyse performance, monitor progress, and inform the self-assessment process.• Provide support, professional advice, and guidance to managers to support ongoing quality improvements.• Lead on the approach to self-assessment and improvement planning.• Ensure preparedness for inspections, taking a lead role during quality-related inspections or audits.• Oversee partnerships with awarding bodies and external verifiers, ensuring compliance and best practice.• Provide direct line management to Quality Managers to drive tutor performance.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding guidance, educational developments, prevent and safeguarding, and other relevant policies.Qualifications/Skills Required for the Head of Quality and Curriculum• Experience of Ofsted inspections with a minimum Grade 2 achieved.• Proven managerial experience, including line management of staff.• Occupational competence in accordance with Awarding Body guidelines.• Excellent knowledge of ESFA funding compliance and other relevant funding streams.• Ability to produce and manage action plans to raise quality standards.• Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or classroom training, e-learning, workshops, etc.).• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.• Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS.• Full UK Driving and access to a vehicleFor any questions or additional information, please contact Simon Atkins at Pertemps Newcastle on
