Locum Legal Practice Manager – Full Time – Hybrid – 3-6 months+

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently seeking a Locum Legal Practice Manager to join an established Local Authority on an interim basis.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Practice Manager to assist a reputable Council. This role is instrumental in the swift and the efficient running of the Council legal team.

Role Details:

Rate: Up to £500 per day Umbrella

Working Arrangement: Full Time, however suitable candidates with part-time availability will be considered. Hybrid working with weekly office attendance.

Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the possibility for extension thereafter

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the legal practice.
  • Managing office systems and ensuring compliance with firm policies.
  • Implementing and monitoring administrative processes and workflows.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records for audits and inspections.
  • Managing the Council’s risk register, file reviews, and conflict checks.
  • Liaising with finance departments or external accountants.
  • Overseeing client account compliance in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Managing holiday schedules, appraisals, and performance reviews.
  • Overseeing the use and maintenance of case management systems.
  • Managing data protection and cybersecurity procedures.
  • Supporting client care procedures and complaints handling.
  • Ensuring the firm’s branding and communications are consistent and professional.
  • Preparing reports for management meetings and assisting with decision-making.
