Position: Prosecutions Lawyer

Duration:Â 3 months ongoing contract
Working Pattern:Â Full time
Working Arrangement:Â Hybrid Working- Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Â Competitive Hourly Salary (DOE)
Venn Group’s legal team are working with a London basedLocal Authority to recruit a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with at least 2 years PQE who can demonstrate successfully handling a wide range of prosecution and criminal litigation matters in a local government setting.
Duties shall include:
1-Â Â Â Â Â To support Senior Lawyers in delivering advice and legal support in the areas of criminal and local government law
2-     To conduct advocacy when required Â
3-Â Â Â Â Â To liaise with lawyers, professional bodies, research institutions, and other external bodies when required
4-Â Â Â Â Â To maintain effective relationships with client departments
5-Â Â Â Â Â To handle licensing matters including Licensing Act 2003 and ideally sit as a legal adviser to Sub-Committees arising thereunder
