RSR are currently recruiting for our client based in the South West for a Floating Support Worker.
The purpose of this role is to work in services where additional staff support is required, so one week you may work in our Bath Domestic Abuse Service’s and the next, in our supported housing services in Mendip.
Full driving license and access to own vehicle is essential for this role as travel around the South West covering areas ch Bath, Bristol, North Somerset, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and Basingstoke will be required.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £27,000 per year.
Main Duties:
- Give clients advice, and information and provide an enabling service so that they can be signposted to and access appropriate services.
- Utilise private rented move-on opportunities to ensure effective service move-on pathways.
- Ensure all new clients moving into the service understand their rights and responsibilities and the conditions of their license agreement and have a valid Housing Benefit claim in place.
- Ensure that all clients are provided with a high-quality person-centred service which takes a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
- Ensure that organisational administrative systems, including Petty Cash and rent/service charge collection, are accurately maintained.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence and access to vehicle, business insurance required.
- Ability to work out of hours, evenings and weekends on occasion.
- Understanding of multiple and complex needs and how this may impact homelessness and social exclusion and approaches which seek to address these.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs.
- Provide cover to services based in BANES, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Basingstoke, therefore must be happy with the travel.
- Experience working across Outreach, Supported Housing, Criminal Justice, Domestic Violence and Substance Misuse services.
Role is subject to DBS check at the relevant level.
