They are looking for a skilled contract Coded MIG / TIG Plater to join their team
We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Plater to support our manufacturing and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and plating, with specific expertise in both MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to fabricate and repair metal components used in waste-to-energy systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure welding and plating meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a MIG/TIG Plater or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with a strong understanding of welding principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in welding and fabrication.
- Certification in welding (preferred but not required).
All workers must have full safety Passport and confined spaces level 2
