Search recruitment are looking for an experienced Caretaker/Janitor for a permanent post with our client in Dundee.
Location: Dundee
Salary: 26k per year
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm
You will have a variety of duties, ranging from security, janitorial and reporting duties. These include:
- Weekly fire Alarm test - different call point each week.
- Manage consumables orders and storage and supply.
- Monthly room inspections for cookers/fridges/heaters to ensure they are still in working order
- Moving furniture within the vicinity upon request or instruction
- Liaise with the laundry company
- Maintain record of scheduled visitors and contractors ensuring sign in book updated, navigate unexpected visitors to ensure they are authorised person(s) and manage any banned visitors appropriately
- You will be the Police and Fire on site contact
- Report any antisocial or illegal activity to appropriate person
- Pre and post tenancy deep clean - maintain record of these
- Report repairs and fire alarm activation's by email - emergency repairs within 1hr
- Maintain database of emergency contact where applicable
- Maintain record of vacant rooms and clean/to clean rooms
- Manage and report tenant disputes
Any additional training such as first aid or security experience is beneficial but is not a set requirement for the role.
