An established business that has been trading for over 60 years is now seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the Southeast region. This business has several divisions covering different sectors and countries across the globe, with this one focusing on aftermarket, automotive, agriculture, plant, wholesale, merchants, and more. This innovative business is constantly evolving and offering solutions for the modern world, but they haven't forgotten its roots, so it continues to offer the products it is famed for. Area Sales Manager Overview -

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for existing accounts as well as new business, given the freedom to express your creativity by exploring new markets as well as the "tried and tested" ones. With a global footprint and the backing of a huge parent company, you can offer state-of-the-art solutions that are created by the UK-based R&D department, as well as have the opportunity to submit your ideas for development.

Area Sales Manager responsibilities include -

  • View current accounts and ensure that Sales plans have been implemented across all areas.
  • Identify prospective customers and contact key decision-makers.
  • Manage a service plan that is aligned with customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the internal customer services team with leads and day-to-day project updates.
  • Retain current customer base and expand footprint through cross/up-sell opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows and provide product information to prospective clients.

Area Sales Manager desirable skills and experience -

  • Experience working within a similar role - Technical Sales, Field Sales Executive, etc.
  • Experience selling products to independent traders, merchants, or wholesalers.
  • Experience working within the Automotive (Aftermarket), or other OES sectors.
  • Able to showcase examples of successful strategies implemented and maintained
  • Communicative and Proactive work ethic.
