Ortega Consulting are a recruitment agency seeking a Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for a Durham-based construction company specializing in commercial and domestic refurbishments and social housing frameworks, maintenance and construction projects.
This is a full-time on-site role as an Estimator/QS. As an Estimator/QS you will be responsible for estimating project costs, carrying out quantity surveying tasks, and assisting with project management. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting cost analysis, preparing estimates and quotations, managing budgets, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimation and quantity surveying
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in using estimation software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Relevant certification or degree in quantity surveying or a related field
