Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Erase Support Worker to work within Durham Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £15.95 per hour for this role. 

The role:

To identify and monitor young people and vulnerable adults at risk of or subject to sexual exploitation and to ensure an effective multi-agency response to safeguard them is in place.

To identify and monitor all missing and absent young people and ensure an appropriate support plan is in place to support their needs.

The role of the Support Worker will be to work alongside Police Colleagues, and colleagues from the Social Care Teams, to share knowledge and support to provide an effective response to those young people and vulnerable adults identified as being at risk.

Key Responsibilities:

      Work closely with partner agencies to identify children at risk of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and respond at the earliest opportunity.

To contribute to the education and knowledge of others regarding CSE

A flexible approach to intervention, which will include planned intervention and outreach work.

Liaise with local communities, build networks with local agencies and partners

Assist in the development of an early response and preventative approach to young people who go missing from home

To work with children/young people and their families to identify needs to achieve positive engagement and outcomes.

Work in partnership with parents/carers to empower them to provide appropriate parenting and care

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
