Venn Group would like to introduce the following position of ‘Housing Support Worker’ in
Position: Housing Support Worker
Location: Durham
Salary: Rate negotiable depending on experience
Length: 2-3 Months
Hours: 35 hours p/week – Monday – Friday, with Rota Saturdays
The role will predominantly involve:
• Advising clients on budgeting issues
• Ensuring that all clients have up to date support and risk management plans
• Ensuring that the need and risk assessments encourage appropriate risk taking and discourage risk avoidance and that there is balance between promotion of independence with effective risk management
• Working with individuals struggling with Drug & Alcohol Misuse, Domestic Violence, and Mental Health Problems
• Signposting clients to relevant agencies to offer them the highest level of support
• Completing welfare checks and wellbeing activities with clients
To be considered for this role you will need to be available to start at short notice, have a valid driving license, and an enhanced DBS.
