Orion are excited to collaborate once again with our leading Engineering & Manufacturing client located in Reading on their next most important hire in 2024. This is a chance for a well-versed and Quality passionate professional who possesses a substantial amount of time-served, to spearhead the Quality department. 

This opportunity comes as a result of a marked shift, led by our clients Operations Director, who has been instrumental in transforming their strategic direction which has seen a meaningful change to the facility and wider group. As their next, newly appointed Quality Manager you will collaborate and work at peer level with the Operations Director on creating a robust and quality culture.

What do you need to be able to demonstrate on your CV in order to be shortlisted?

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working at Quality Managers level within an engineering and manufacturing environment (please note applications received where this is not demonstrated will not be considered) 
  • Either HNC/HND or Bachelors Degree in either a Scientific or Engineering related subject 
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of methodologies used in Root Cause Analysis activities as well as CAPA's. 
  • Creation and or improvement of Quality Management Systems 
  • Strong knowledge of supporting a business gain additional ISO standards (our client are already 9001 certified, but it would be advantageous if you have supported a business to gain 13485, 9100 or 16949 etc.)
  • Have collaborated and supported other internal engineering departments on new products/projects with a 'Quality' focus.
