Senior Civil Engineer

Are you a Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer looking for a new challenge? Our client is looking for an ambitious Civil Engineer who wants to join a dynamic team! They focus on a high volume of Civils projects, of up to 180m in value.

Core Responsibilities:

• Spearhead technical design initiatives in compliance with pertinent standards and codes.
• Conduct comprehensive report generation, including Flood Risk, Drainage, and Transport Assessments.
• Formulate detailed technical specifications.
• Oversee civil engineering master planning activities.
• Advance civil engineering design processes, such as roadwork, drainage systems, and regulatory compliance for building, including Sections 38, 104, and 278.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and goals are met.
• Utilize expertise in AutoCAD, Micro-drainage, Civils 3D, and BIM methodologies.
• Offer technical support to interdisciplinary teams.
• Critically evaluate designs and troubleshoot issues to reach a resolution.
• Maintain stringent quality control measures and explore opportunities to minimize the carbon footprint in design practices.
• Participate actively in design team meetings and conduct site visits as required

Skills & Expertise:

• Attainment or active pursuit of chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
• Proven leadership capabilities in managing design teams.
• Extensive civil engineering background, encompassing Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDs) from initial concept to full-scale execution.
• Well-versed in the domains of highways, urban spaces, and the broader civil engineering sector.
• Competent in crafting designs adhering to Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities, capable of autonomous operation, delivering presentations, and exerting influence.
• A minimum of seven years of dedicated experience in the realm of infrastructure engineering design.
• Must have Civils experience.
