Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing financial tasks? Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part time basis. If you thrive in a busy environment and have a passion for accuracy and efficiency, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage emails related to payroll, invoices, and accounts daily
  • Print and process invoices received via email
  • Enter invoices onto the system
  • Enter subcontractor invoices after approval
  • Print and file employee timesheets weekly
  • Manage petty cash weekly and monthly
  • Manage and pay subcontractor invoices
  • Update the cash flow spreadsheet
  • Pay supplier invoices and wages for employees and subcontractors
  • Handle PAYE, NI, CIS, VAT, and Workplace pension payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and direct debit invoices in Sage
  • Make payments through the bank and reconcile on Sage
  • Approve staff holidays and log absences
  • Assist with other ad hoc tasks as directed by the management team

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Experience in a similar account's role is preferred
