SEN Teaching Assistant

Crawley

£23,500 - £25,000 per week (salary is dependant on experience/qualifications and will be discussed at registration)

The role

In this role, you will be a SEN Teaching Assistant, working alongside the classroom teacher, supporting children with Autism, SEMH and learning difficulties. You will also be responsible for providing personal care to the students as part of your job role. You may occasionally work 1:1 with children as well as in groups. This SEN Teaching Assistant position is long term, to start in September 2024 and will be permanent. There is an opportunity to progress with CPD and even gain QTS, directly through the school. Ideally you will hold a specialism in one of either English, Maths, Humanities or Art/Graphic Design.

The school is a non-maintained boarding and day SEMH specialist SEN School for boys 5-18 with a local, regional and national reputation for innovation and successful practice, with an excellent training programme.The school truly care about every child, including their personal care needs, and there is a very supportive and welcoming environment. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Experience working with children, either in or out of an education setting.
  • A passion and willingness to work in Education
