Trainee Accounts Assistant Temp-to-Perm

Grafton Banks Finance are excited to be supporting a growing, commercial business in central Eastbourne. Our client is looking to bring on an Trainee Accounts Assistant on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, this role will be a range of accounts payable and finance administration duties.

• Processing supplier payment runs on a timely basis
• Reconciling supplier statements, resolving any issues and escalating where appropriate.
• Checking and reconciliating inter-company balances around month end.
• Maintaining and controlling all aspects of accounts payable/purchase ledger
• Reviewing the ledger, ensuring its regularly updated.
• Continuously reviewing and updating accounts payable processes and procedures
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Providing support across the finance department

Experience required for this role:

• Prior experience withing within a fast-paced accounts payable/purchase ledger role.
• Exposure to using ERP accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Available on immediate notice
• Ability to commute to office on a daily basis (no hybrid working).
