Reed Accountancy is working with a local business and we are seeking a Client Manager with a strong background in accountancy practice to join their team. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant or someone close to/newly qualified, who’s looking to further their career in practice. As a Client Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accountancy services and maintaining strong client relationships.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Review accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Review corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns.
- Ensure assignments are completed within the appropriate budget and timeframe.
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, maintaining and building relationships with key individuals.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, providing support, advice, and proactive communication.
- Support and supervise trainees, providing training as required.
- Engage in networking and business generation activities with the aim of building your client portfolio.
- Report directly to the Partners of the firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACCA/ACA qualification or QBE (Qualified by Experience), or close to being qualified.
- Accountancy - 3 years (preferred)
- Demonstrable experience in an Accountancy Practice.
- Excellent client relationship skills with a highly commercial approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile.
- Strong IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
- Enjoy working within a team and supporting more junior team members.
- Experience in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice.
