Reed Accountancy is working with a local business and we are seeking a Client Manager with a strong background in accountancy practice to join their team. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant or someone close to/newly qualified, who’s looking to further their career in practice. As a Client Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accountancy services and maintaining strong client relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Review accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Review corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns.
  • Ensure assignments are completed within the appropriate budget and timeframe.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, maintaining and building relationships with key individuals.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients, providing support, advice, and proactive communication.
  • Support and supervise trainees, providing training as required.
  • Engage in networking and business generation activities with the aim of building your client portfolio.
  • Report directly to the Partners of the firm.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACCA/ACA qualification or QBE (Qualified by Experience), or close to being qualified.
  • Accountancy - 3 years (preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience in an Accountancy Practice.
  • Excellent client relationship skills with a highly commercial approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile.
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Enjoy working within a team and supporting more junior team members.
  • Experience in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice.
