We are seeking a Practice Manager with a strong background in accountancy to lead the operations of our accountancy practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the practice’s staff, developing business strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accountancy practice, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Manage administrative and accounting staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimise operational efficiency and client service.
  • Handle client relations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage the practice’s finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and billing.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with accountants and other professionals to facilitate top-tier client services.
  • Lead marketing and business development efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Analyse practice performance, prepare reports, and make recommendations to the partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Practice Manager or similar managerial role within an accountancy setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in practice management software and MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage various priorities.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in business, management, or accountancy are preferred.
