Education and Training Executive

The role of the Education and Training Executive is to plan, develop, coordinate, implement and promote an annual education programme of training opportunities and events to suit the needs and interests of the members and non-members of the federation. The Education and Training Executive will support the members’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

For over sixty years, the business has been a driving force in maintaining high standards in therapy education and practice in the UK. As a business, they are the largest professional association for therapists, with thousands of members specialising in everything from sports and remedial therapies to complementary healthcare and holistic beauty treatments.

As a not-for-profit organisation run by therapists, for therapists, they’re dedicated to advancing and protecting their members' interests and career progression. We have a fantastic opportunity and seek an Interim Education and Training Executive to join our team to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

This position is responsible for planning and administering our education and events programme. The company runs a continuing professional development (CPD) programme for its membership, with an annual training conference, and a Student Therapist Education Programme as the highlights. The federation also manages other events such as its own Excellence Awards. The Education and Training Executive has operational responsibility for all these activities.

Skills Required:

  • Have previous event management experience.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and be a team player.
  • Be reliable, well organised, accurate and calm under pressure
  • Have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • To plan, develop and implement an annual education programme including face to face training and events, as well as online learning.
  • To manage the education and training budget.
  • To collaborate with relevant departments to facilitate speakers and topics for events.
  • Process expenses and purchase orders for speakers, venues and bookings
  • To support company members with advice and conducting audits for requirements.
  • Liaise with the marketing department to effectively promote the education programme
  • Write engaging copy to promote the education programme via digital and print communication.
  • To develop and maintain the education and training sections of the company website.
  • Create learning templates and resources to support members.
  • To research and establish industry contacts and prospective relationships to increase the education programme and speaker pool.
  • Liaise with Accredited Course Providers to effectively promote, advertise and process online advertising on the training page and e-newsletters.
  • Proactively identify arising issues and contribute to the resolution.
  • Ensure professional and efficient customer service and SLA is adhered to.
  • Actively participate in development projects and activities.
