The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing TIG welding operations to a high standard, ensuring precision and accuracy down to 1mm in tolerance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing manufacturer, utilising your expertise in TIG welding and contributing to the production of high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding operations on various materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy, achieving welding tolerances down to 1mm.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure correct welding procedures and techniques are followed.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify and rectify any defects or imperfections.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and techniques.
  • Flexibility to work across a 3-shift rotation including mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to perform TIG welding to a high standard with precision and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work across a 3-shift rotation including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
