About Our Client:

Our client, a market leader in their field, are specialists within the manufacturing industry. They are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Production Manager to join their friendly team in Kent. With a focus on delivering high-quality products to their customers, our client offers a supportive and positive working environment.

Responsibilities:

As the Production Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring performance and ensuring productivity
  • Providing guidance and support to the production and office team
  • Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Conducting regular meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
  • Providing daily/weekly financial and productivity reports to the Business Manager
  • Managing and developing production schedules to meet customer deadlines
  • Determining material, equipment, and labour requirements
  • Ordering consumables and resolving production issues
  • Assisting and managing customer requirements
  • Managing a small team of production specialists

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ambitious and eager to learn
  • Enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude
  • Self-motivated and works well in a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience within Manufacturing / Print / Packaging / Supply Chain would be ideal
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines and manage time accordingly
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, printing machinery experience is desirable but not essential as this can be trained in situ.
