iMultiply are working in partnership with an Edinburgh based company to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. The role is paying a competitive salary along with some great additional benefits. The role can be worked on either a full time or part time basis.The Company A well established and high performing hospitality business that operates primarily in Edinburgh. They are a hard-working but friendly team keen on adding a conscientious and pro-active individual into the business that fits into their dynamic company culture.The RoleThe role of Accounts Assistant will work with an experienced team and will report to the Finance Manager. The successful individual will require previous experience working in Accounts Payable.The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with a number of non-finance stakeholders within the organisation. It is also key for this individual to balance their time effectively and prioritise set tasks at the appropriate time. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Post all invoices

  • Create invoices

  • Raise credits and price discrepancies

  • Manage 'unreconciled’ invoices

  • Statement Reconciliation for suppliers

  • Request copy invoices from suppliers where required before month end bacs are sent.

  • Post outstanding invoices

  • Post all purchase ledger direct debits from the bank statements

  • Allocate direct debits to correct invoices

  • Weekly bacs payment

  • Monthly bacs payment

  • Log, code and post utility bills

  • Purchase Ledger period end

    • Save all period end reports

    • Purchase Ledger transfer run

    • Run end of period process in Purchase Ledger

  • Reconcile stocks to PL accounts

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel)

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

On OfferThe role of Accounts Assistant will offer a competitive salary including a generous benefits package. The offices are based in Edinburgh City Centre, accessible via public transport. They can be easily accessed from Edinburgh, Fife, East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian. The role is predominantly office based with the opportunity to work from home on a Friday following probationary period. Flexibility afforded beyond this on a case-by-case.
