Acoustic Engineer

An esteemed UK-based acoustic consultancy is actively seeking highly skilled individuals to join their team and embark on a rewarding career trajectory. Requirements:

  • Candidates holding an IOA diploma and a BSc in acoustics or a related field will be at a competitive advantage.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate findings, recommendations, and technical information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Essential attributes include precision, attentiveness, and a proficient understanding of British Standards such as BS16283, BS5228, BS8233, and BS4142.
  • Proficiency in 3D noise modelling software such as ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, or analogous tools, as well as experience in noise assessments and sound insulation testing.
  • Strong collaborative aptitude with cross-disciplinary teams comprising developers, architects, engineers, and construction managers is imperative.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of adept professionals to evaluate and analyse noise levels in diverse settings.
  • Create recommendations and remedial guidance to stakeholders.
  • Devise effective mitigation strategies utilising advanced 3D noise modelling methodologies.
  • Execute comprehensive noise evaluations using specialised tools and software.
  • Formulate pragmatic management plans tailored to project requirements.
