Denholm are delighted to be working with one of the Scotland's most respected and well-established marketing, advertising and brand agencies who are known for their great company culture, loyal clients, and fantastic creative work. Right now, they are looking for a new Account Director to join their busy team an lead on key clients.

In this critical role, you'll be responsible for managing processes, campaigns and client relationships end-to-end, be all about positive and inclusive team culture, and manage - initially - 2 colleagues to support them in their professional journey. You'll need strong and relevant experience in the FMCG, Beauty, and Healthcare sector, and be able to speak the language of clients in these industries, understanding their needs and routes to success.

What you'll be doing

  • Play a central role in client growth, development, and relationship management.
  • Help develop colleagues and ensure career growth and happiness.
  • Work with Planning & Insight Team to deliver strategic campaign/project objectives.
  • Partner with the Creative Department to deliver award-winning campaigns.
  • Showcase business acumen and commercial skills.
  • Take a hands-on approach to the market-leading work being delivered to clients, having a say at the table on creative, planning and strategy, and deliverables.
  • Leading on pitches, presentations, pushing back when needed and always having positive, long-term client relationships at the heart of everything you do.
  • Take responsibility for project timelines, resource allocation, challenges, and opportunities alike.

Who we're looking for

  • 5 years + marketing agency experience
  • Experience of working in the BWS (Beers, Wines & Spirits) Category.
  • TTL marketing experience, Trade / Channel marketing.
  • Team orientated and always collaborating.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and tenacious.
  • Ability to manage, delegate and develop team appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Hard-working with an ability to juggle multiple projects and a good eye for creative ideas.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the agency process end-to-end including preparing schedules and quotations, briefing, supporting pitches/client meetings and workshops, proofing work.
  • Eye for creativity and how to challenge it.
  • Able to run a mini "business unit" with autonomy.
