Ten Live Ltd are urgently recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for a National Structural and Civil Engineering company based in the Edinburgh Area. This is an amazing opportunity to work within a fast growing and adaptable business.

Job Title – Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description:

An experienced Engineer with broad skills in civil engineering, project management and teamwork to join a growing team in the Edinburgh office.

General Requirements and Attributes:

·Degree in Civil Engineering

·IEng/CEng (or working towards)

·Range of experience

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·Mentoring and supporting the development of the Civils Team

·Managing and producing technical documents

·Supporting the team with project delivery

·Development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options

·Provide technical input to the pricing of project briefs, proposals and deliverables

General Duties and Responsibilities:

·Strong technical knowledge, including use of industry standard road and/or drainage design software and sound knowledge of current design standards

·Focus on highways, access roads and temporary/enabling works design, undertake due diligence, feasibility studies, conceptual optioneering, detailed design both pre and post planning and design and build through construction.

·Road Design to national Road Development Guide and Local Authority Standards

·Obtain appropriate Technical Approvals including RCC and S56

·Provide technical reports as required

·Knowledge of and ability to deliver highway drainage principles (layout, parameters etc), surface water and foul drainage designs

·Obtaining statutory approvals with Scottish water and SEPA

·Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be beneficial

·Experience in Microdrainage would be beneficial

·Knowledge and understanding of `Design Manual for Roads and Bridges`(DMRB)

·Ability to work as part of an experienced team of professionals

·High standard of written and oral communications

Salary:
