My client, a global technology company are looking for a passionate and driven HR Officer for their UK and Europe entities. Reporting into the People Relations Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the people function is thriving. This role is a predominantly office-based position with some work from home days. Travel around the UK and Europe will be required occasionally. All applicants must speak French and/or German, and have knowledge of French/German Employment laws.Role & Responsibilities:
  • Acting as a key member of the business’s HR function to assist in developing and implementing HR policy to continually ensure best practice and adherence to employment laws
  • Guiding line managers and heads of business on ER matters and performance management meetings
  • Executing tasks relating to Global Mobility including visa applications and Right to Work checks
  • Assisting the Recruitment team where needed in various processes including screening, interviewing and onboarding/offboarding
  • Collaborating with the L&D team on the roll-outs of various employee trainings, many on a multinational level
  • Supporting the payroll function and assisting with Benefits projects
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR guidelines
  • Compiling weekly reports on pertinent HR matters to present to Business Heads and other key stakeholders
Experience & Skills Required
  • In addition, experience and knowledge of French and/or German employment law and HR practice is essential
  • Proven experience in a HR role at Officer level, ideally within a large organisation
  • Highly resilient and confident in the work that they produce
  • Self-starter – highly proactive and ‘plugged in’ to the wider HR community
  • Extremely high stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and French and/or German would also be beneficial
  • Tech savvy, with a willingness to learn new HR support systems and social media practices
