Residential Conveyancing Lawyer (8+ years')

A leading Scottish law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Lawyer to join its dynamic and growing team in Edinburgh. This senior-level opportunity is ideal for a client-focused Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE who is ready to take on a leadership role, with the potential for Partnership.

This is a predominantly office-based, client-facing role, offering the chance to oversee other Conveyancers and contribute meaningfully to team strategy and delivery. You’ll be joining a supportive environment with clear routes for career development and a firm that actively invests in its people.

This is a permanent full-time position, however flexible or part-time working may also be considered.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of residential property transactions including sales, purchases and remortgages
  • Handle complex or high-net-worth matters with confidence
  • Deliver excellent client service and maintain high standards of legal and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise and support less experienced conveyancers within the team
  • Contribute to team meetings, strategy sessions and business development initiatives
  • Help build the team’s profile through networking and client engagement

You will:

  • Have at least 8 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing, with strong technical expertise
  • Be confident in managing complex matters and high-value clients
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills
  • Be comfortable working with minimal supervision and mentoring junior team members
  • Show a proactive approach to matter management and departmental goals
  • Have (or be building) a strong network and presence in the local legal market
