Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Edinburgh. My client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site in the City Centre. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified / biased (C&G or NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. He or she will be required to carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following;
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
- Monitor the BMS systems
- Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
- General building fabric
- Escort specialist sub contractors
Hours of work
- Monday to Friday - 08.00 - 17.00
- Overtime available
Requirements
- Mechanical qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Able to gain Enhanced DBS
- Salary up to 40K depending on experience and qualifications
- Holidays 25 days plus bank holidays
- OT at 1.5 and 2.0
- Call out allowance
- Life cover x 4
- Opportunity to purchase 5 additional holidays a year
