Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday Nights 18:00- 06:00

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday Days 06:00- 18:00, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights 18:00- 06:00

Week 3: Wednesday, Thursday Days 06:00- 18:00

Week 4: Monday, Tuesday Nights 18:00- 06:00, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Days 06:00- 18:00

We are currently seeking multiple shift engineering managers to join one of our most prestigious clients, operating in the FMCG manufacturing industry; they have been at the forefront of the market for many years now and show no signs of slowing. Due to a recent restructure of the team, we are looking for x4 Shift engineering managers to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting in to the engineering manager, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the engineering department on your shift, which includes 5 shift engineers.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Integrate site principles into the Engineering team's framework as outlined in the site's improvement strategy.
  • Provide support, motivation, development, and coaching for the engineering team.
  • Spearhead comprehensive individual training plans, acknowledging and incentivising exceptional performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance plant and equipment efficiency to minimise operational downtime.
  • Guarantee the timely completion of planned maintenance documentation and input into the CMMS.
  • Foster close collaboration with production staff to meet daily operational targets.

In order to be successful in this position, you should meeting the following requirements:



  • Strong hands on engineering background.
  • A competent understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering (mechanical bias preferred)
  • Qualified to HNC level or above (beneficial)
  • Previous experience in a leadership position, ideally gained within a food manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Previous experience working with a CMMS (ideally shire/pirana)
  • Previous job titles could have been: Lead engineer, maintenance team leader, shift team leader, engineering supervisor, shift maintenance manager, maintenance manager or alike titles.
