Job Title: Site Manager – Groundworks & Piling
Location:Â Edinburgh Botanic Garden
Contract Duration: 4 months
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a short-term project overseeing a groundworks and piling contract. You will be responsible for managing the sub-contractor team on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification, with the support of the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage sub-contractor teams on a groundworks and piling contract
Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained on site
Coordinate with the Project Manager to monitor progress and resolve issues
Report on programme, costs, and site activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on groundworks, piling, or earthworks projects
CSCS card required
SMSTS
Strong knowledge of health & safety standards in construction
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage sub-contractors effectively and maintain site productivity
